Gamic Dojo
Part III : Inking (optional)
Like all comics, gamic won’t look like a comic unless you apply some ink on it’s outline. This is optional as some may not like the effect on their gamic. Inking is usually applied if you have photo like graphic/ foreign graphics (without any outline) added to your gamic. Luckily for you software like Paint.NET and Photoshop comes with inking filter that automatically does the inking for you automatically in several clicks. Inking is optional process though some prefer their panel not inked.
Inking does have an advantage when blending with other computer graphics for e.g. if you have non-screenshot graphics inserted to the next panel will look a bit odd. To balance it out we apply the inking effect to all.
To apply inking effect, for photoshop users click on Filter menu above under Artistic then select Poster Edge. Tweak with the inking settings of your liking.
For those using Paint.NET, look for the Effect in menu above and click it. Select Ink Sketches… option.
Next, Follow the figure 1.6.

Figure 1.6 : Adjust Ink Sketch settings.
Always set coloring to 100% and tweaking around with Ink Outline (thickness of inking). When you are satisfied, click on OK button.
