Part II : Cutting out from screenshots

Save the page frame of 620 px x 650px as template.pdn file to be edited later. Now, we move on cutting out the portion of the screenshot to form panels in the gamic. Click on File and select open then, look for the screen capture graphic file. Once you have done that, click on the rectangle select tool which looks like Figure 1.4 below.

Mouse over to the loaded screen capture file and click and drag diagonally. You’ll notice a blue rectangle will appear (see figure 1.5). You can redo the selection by repeating the step again until you can the correct panning and view you want. During the process of dragging to form the rectangle, notice the dimension guide below in Figure 1.6. This guide gives you a precise calculation of pixel needed for the panel.

Once, you are comfortable with the selection, proceed with cutting by pressing Ctrl + X. Click on File menu again and select the New menu item again this, time left the width and height settings alone. You’ll notice the width and height matches the numbers in your dimension guide below. Paste the selection to the newly created canvas.
