I’m back…yeah it’s hot in here today, and that gave me an idea for yet another new effect. Today’s tutorial is called Fiery Effect using cloud rendering of Paint.NET. Also I’ve extracted yet another goodies for the Trickster sprites 1st Job Buffalo - you may use this for siggys, banners, gamics, and etc.
Back to the tutorial, this effect requires user to have Cloud render effect, build in since Paint.NET 3.30 and some layer rendering settings.

Step 1
Fire up Paint.NET, start a new file width 200 pixel and height 200 pixel. Select gradient coloring mode. Color the background a black and white gradient. Black being the top and white being the bottom most. Click and drag the gradient tool downwards see Figure 1.2.

Nice guide I never knew paint has similar functions as photoshop

paint.net comes closest to match photoshop, in terms of effects and stuff, but power wise still photoshop can churn out more…but paint.net is free and lightweight.
