Fill up the box with white color (swap color at color panel – short cut X), simply press backspace shortcut to auto fill it. This effect will only be visible if there’s a filled shape on a layer.

Before applying the effect you must finalize the layer (no selection), by de-selecting the selection box. You can do that by click on anywhere. You will notice the selection box vanishes as you do this.
